Minteriors ("we," "us," or "our") is an interior design consultation service that delivers professional room designs through live video consultations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website (www.minteriors.in), book a consultation, fill our design questionnaire, or interact with us via WhatsApp, email, or phone.

By using our services, you consent to the practices described in this policy. This policy complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023 of India.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:
Booking Form: Full name, email address, phone number, city, room type, budget range, preferred date/time.
Payment: Transaction ID, payment status, amount paid. Card/bank details are processed by Razorpay and NOT stored by us.
Design Questionnaire: Room dimensions, photos, style preferences, material preferences, colour choices, furniture needs, lifestyle details, and inspiration images.
During Consultation: Video call recordings (only with your consent), design notes, and additional room photos shared.
Communication: WhatsApp messages, emails, and phone call logs.
Automatically collected: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent on pages, referral URLs, and cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data only for the following specific purposes:1. Service Delivery — To process your booking, prepare your designer brief, conduct your consultation, and deliver your design package (12 deliverables).2. Communication — To send booking confirmations, questionnaire reminders, consultation reminders, deliverables, and post-consultation support via WhatsApp and email.3. Payment Processing — To process your consultation fee (₹4,999) through Razorpay.4. Service Improvement — To analyze usage patterns and improve our website, consultation process, and design quality.5. Legal Compliance — To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes. We will never use your data for purposes unrelated to the services you signed up for without obtaining your explicit consent first.

4. Consent

By submitting the booking form and completing the design questionnaire, you provide your informed, specific, and unambiguous consent for us to collect and process your personal data for the purposes described in Section 3.Specifically, by completing your booking you consent to: (a) processing your name, email, and phone for booking and confirmation; (b) processing your payment details through our payment processor; (c) processing your questionnaire responses for consultation preparation; (e) sending you service communications via WhatsApp and email. Your consent to service communications (a–c, e) is required to deliver the service. Consent to marketing communications is optional and governed by Section 14 of the Terms & Conditions. Recording consent (purpose d) is collected separately. At least 24 hours before your consultation, you will receive a standalone consent notice via WhatsApp or email specifically for session recording. This is a separate, distinct consent from the booking consent above, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hi@minteriors.in. Upon withdrawal, we will stop processing your data within 7 business days. Please note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to deliver the services you have booked. Third-Party Data: If you share personal information about any other person (such as a family member, spouse, or co-occupant) during the booking process, design questionnaire, or consultation, you confirm that you have obtained that person's consent to share their information with us for the purposes described in this policy. You take responsibility for ensuring this consent is valid.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We share data only with the following categories of service providers who are essential to delivering our service: Payment Processor — Payment processing (name, email, phone, transaction details)Video Conferencing & Scheduling Provider — Consultation scheduling & delivery (name, email, consultation date/time)Online Form Platform — Design questionnaire hosting (questionnaire responses)Workflow Automation Provider — Workflow automation (booking details, questionnaire data)Instant Messaging Platform — Client communication & notifications (phone number, name, booking details)3D Design Software Provider — 3D design creation (room dimensions, design specifications)Each service provider operates under its own privacy policy. We require all service providers to maintain appropriate security measures. We may also disclose your data if required by law, court order, or government authority. WhatsApp as a Communication Channel: By booking our services, you acknowledge that WhatsApp is an official communication channel for Minteriors. Communications sent via WhatsApp relating to your booking, consultation, and deliverables are legally valid service communications.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security practices and procedures to protect your personal data, including:
- Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) on our website and all data transmissions
- Secure access controls — only authorised team members can access client data
- Razorpay handles all payment data under PCI-DSS compliance; we never store card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details
- Regular review of security practices
While we take all reasonable measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6A. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to affect your rights or interests, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. The notification will describe the nature of the breach, the categories of data affected, and the steps we are taking to address and contain it. We will also report the breach to the relevant authority as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for the following periods:
Booking & payment records: 7 years — Financial & tax compliance
Design files (deliverables): 2 years after delivery — Post-service support & reference
Questionnaire responses: 1 year after consultation — Quality improvement
Communication logs: 1 year — Dispute resolution
Website analytics data: 26 months — Service improvement (anonymised)
After the retention period, data is permanently deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us at hi@minteriors.in, subject to legal obligations.

8. Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for:

Analytics cookies — To understand website usage and improve performance (e.g., Google Analytics)

6. Right to Nominate — Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity

10. Children's Data

Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor's data has been collected without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected a minor's data, please contact us immediately at hi@minteriors.in.

11. Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers may store data on servers located outside India. We engage only service providers who operate under data processing agreements that contractually obligate them to protect your data with standards equivalent to or exceeding Indian data protection requirements under the DPDP Act, 2023. By using our services, you acknowledge this and consent to such transfers. We will update this section as the Government of India notifies approved jurisdictions under the DPDP Act Rules.
