We let the marble and wood set the tone. Every surface was designed to feel alive with warmth and natural light.

A private bungalow designed around three materials: Italian marble, teak wood, and glass. The brief was to create a home that feels spacious and warm at the same time. Double-height ceilings, open-plan living, and carefully placed greenery bring the outdoors in, while rich textures and classic furniture add a sense of occasion to everyday life.

Gold accents, tufted sofas, and a mirrored foyer ceiling give the home its character. Indoor palms, ferns, and orchids soften the luxury and add life to every corner. The dining area combines wooden beam ceilings with polished marble floors, a contrast that keeps the space interesting without being overwhelming.

Key Spaces

Living Room:

Tufted Chesterfield sofas in brown and olive green sit around a glass centre table with gold legs. Carved armchairs with brocade fabric add warmth, and a golden chandelier ties the room together. Textured wall panels and olive drapes frame the space.

Dining & Kitchen:

An eight-seater dining table sits under a coffered ceiling with exposed wooden beams and cove lighting. The adjacent kitchen is finished in grey and white, with a chimney hood and a backlit niche featuring a brass Ganesha idol.

Staircase & Foyer:

A floating wooden staircase with marble treads and glass railings rises through a double-height atrium. The foyer ceiling is covered in mirrored diamond panels, with a crystal chandelier and potted ferns below.

Details

Color Palette

Ivory marble forms the base. Warm teak and walnut add depth. Olive green, gold, and pops of red through cushions and orchids bring the palette to life.

Materials and Textures

Italian marble flooring, solid teak on the staircase and ceiling beams, glass railings, tufted velvet and brocade upholstery, mirrored ceiling panels, and textured stone-finish wall panels.

Furniture

Oversized Chesterfield sofas, a quilted eight-seater dining set, carved side tables with gold legs, and a glass centre table. Each piece is chosen for comfort and visual impact.

Lighting

A gold crystal chandelier in the foyer, cove lighting in the ceiling beams, recessed spotlights over the dining and stairwell, and backlit wall niches for a warm glow after sunset.
